Órla Dunniece
Poledance in Heels
Hello, Órla here!
I’ve been dancing in some form for as long as I can remember, and when I started pole in 2018 I fell in love. I’m Irish and began my pole journey in studios and clubs in Dublin, leaving for Innsbruck in October 2022.
I love the extra confidence and connection to my body that pole has given me, and without pole I wouldn’t have met most of my closest friends. Pole dance, and the community I found through it, changed my life.
My style of pole is emotive, flowy and fun, and pulls equally from my experience in ballet and club dancing. Though you’ll often find me dancing in socks, the extra challenge and flair of dancing in heels is very close to my heart.
In my classes, I hope that you can come curious, be open to challenging yourself a little and reconnecting with your body in ways you may have forgotten. For me, that’s what pole is all about!
PS in Irish, “feithid” means insect, and “damhsoir” means dancer. Dance, bugs and the Irish language - some of my favourite things! 🐞💚
